Keeper of the Light

Keeper of the light shining ever so bright,
(“Who goes there?”)

Tis “I,” a shadow in the night.
(“Step forward, let me see your face, tell me what you do?”)

I go here and there without being seen,
Carrying messages all about your dreams.

(“Douse that light!  You’ll reveal me, peel the paint off the wall, Leaving no more art in sight!”)

You’re not making any sense, you’re as high as a kite!
(“No, I’m the keeper of the light!”)

My Loved Ones

If I were a mosquito, I’d bite them one by one,
Spreading my “joy” to my loved ones.

If I were a bee, I’d collect lots of honey,
Using it to sweeten my loved ones.

If I were a dragon fly, I’d soar high,
Collect happy molecules to sprinkle on my loved ones.

If I were an ant, I’d gather bread crumbs and
Peanut butter drops for my loved ones,
So they could have a food fight on a Saturday afternoon.

If I were a lady bug, I’d sit in their flower gardens and
think about my loved ones.

If I were a butterfly, I’d flutter my wings,
spin a cocoon around their hearts,
And metamorphosize my loved ones.

Truth Verses the Liar

When faced with a liar who twists truth to create self-doubt,
Question those liars, make their accountability come out.

Their bizarre behavior is a cunning diversion,
So as not to shed light on the truth and their perversion.

Stand fearless in knowing those liars will eventually derail,
We all know the truth, Gods' purpose shall prevail.
